It is with great sorrow and sadness that we inform all of you of the death of Aero Kool Corporation’s Owner / Chairman of the Board, Mr. Theodore “Ted” Gregor. Ted passed away peacefully on November 24, 2012 after a brief illness. The company was founded by his father, Jerry T. Gregor in 1959. Ted grew up with the business and elevated to the top position of President/ CEO in 1997 after the passing of his late father.

As everyone knows, aviation was Ted’s passion.  He was a dynamic individual involved in many activities during his career. He was honored in 2001 as the recipient of the GMAA Eddie Rickenbacker Award for his contribution to the aviation industry.

Ted attended the University of Miami and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA.  He also served as the Board of Directors for the St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Miami. He is survived by his two sons, Gerry Gregor and Christopher-George Gregor.

He will be truly missed by all his family and friends.

Organizational Announcement

Founded in 1959 and previously housed in a small warehouse in Hialeah, Florida, Aero Kool Corporation has grown in capacity, sales, staffing, and recently welcomed on board two outstanding individuals to continue in the family tradition of excellence in service to our customers. They had been appointed by Theodore H. Gregor II, who had stepped down as President and CEO as of May 2012:

Mr. Matt M. Poursaba the appointed President /CEO brings over 28 years of solid aviation experience to Aero Kool. Mr. Poursaba will continue to lead the business in the position of President/CEO and carry forward the tradition of sustaining Aero Kool as a worldwide and world class company.

Mr. John N. Bambacus is named the new Chairman of the Board of Aero Kool Corporation. This was executed by founder Theodore H. Gregor, II.  Mr. Bambacus is first cousin to the family and maintains a close family relationship. He is committed to extending positive leadership as Aero Kool makes advances in superior customer support, quality of product, and excellence in service to our clients.

Aero Kool Corporation will continue in “loving memory” of Theodore H. Gregor II, providing quality service to our customers as a leading worldwide and world class component repair / overhaul facility.
